Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An inpatient behavioral health facility is seeking an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy to manage pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers the opportunity to lead pharmacy services in a dynamic hospital setting, starting immediately on a contract basis until a permanent hire is made.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 30-minute unpaid meal break
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations for inpatient behavioral health services
- Manage medication distribution, repackaging, and stock control
- Utilize automated dispensing systems effectively, including Omnicell
- Prepare and run restock reports to maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care and medication safety
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Missouri pharmacist license
- Experience as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) preferred
- Familiarity with Omnicell automated dispensing systems
- Skilled in medication repackaging using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL systems
- Basic knowledge of loading drugs into automated machines and inventory management
This contract assignment begins on April 29 with two days of cross-training, moving into full solo responsibility by May 1. The duration extends until the hospital secures a permanent pharmacy director.
