Job Details:

• Work night shifts in the Emergency Department
\n• Travelers are not required to pick up on-call shifts
\n• Maintain 4:1 patient ratio for all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
\n• 24 hours of orientation provided
\n• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
\n• Handle daily census of 40-50 patients in 13-room, 13-bed emergency department
\n• Must have current New Mexico or multi-state Registered Nurse license
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
\n• Emergency and/or critical care experience preferred
\n• Previous charge experience preferred
\n• Minimum 1 year of experience required
\n• Experience with Meditech charting system required
\n• Community hospital experience preferred
\n• Smoke/nicotine free campus policy
\n• Keep requested time off to minimum, expect to work some holidays
\n• Must arrive within 30 minutes if placed on-call
\n• Floating may be required in rotation with client staff
\n• Travelers within 70 miles of Silver City, NM are considered local and not accepted
\n• Previously employed permanent employees within last 2 years not eligible

The facility operates a 13-bed emergency department that serves patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. The emergency department maintains interdisciplinary support services including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary support to ensure comprehensive patient care.
