Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students across grades K-12 in a dynamic school setting located in Aurora, CO. This contract position spans the full academic school year, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique requirements.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusive learning environments.
  • Deliver specialized instruction to support academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 educational settings.
  • Experience teaching students with a variety of disabilities and learning challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create engaging and adaptive lesson plans to meet diverse learning styles.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Location: Aurora, CO serving K-12 students at a public school.
