A dynamic travel opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist focused on school-based services, working with students in 1st through 5th grade. This role is located in Buffalo Grove, IL, and offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on childrens educational experiences through tailored OT interventions. The assignment runs from ASAP through April 2026, providing consistent weekly hours and a manageable caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students, supporting their academic and functional development
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments and educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to promote student progress and inclusion
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes in compliance with school requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure and experience in school-based settings
- Strong skills in pediatric OT, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of approximately 35 students
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with educational professionals
