Position Summary
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas. This role ensures guest suites are thoroughly cleaned, stocked with amenities, and maintained to brand and hotel standards to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites according to hotel standards (vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sanitizing bathrooms, changing linens, and making beds).
- Restock guest amenities, towels, and linens as needed.
- Maintain kitchen and in-room appliances in extended-stay suites.
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, damage, or maintenance issues and report concerns promptly.
- Maintain organized housekeeping carts, linen closets, and supply areas.
- Provide friendly, helpful service to guests and respond to requests promptly.
- Follow hotel safety, security, and quality standards at all times.
- Assist with laundry operations or other housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Support teammates to ensure daily cleaning assignments are completed.
- Turn in lost-and-found items and complete maintenance work orders when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Friendly attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism with guests, coworkers, and management.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Schedule & Availability
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays as business needs require.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
