Job Description

Job DescriptionSummary: Manages the accounting and financial functions. Manages the administration of the casino’s accounting principles, practices and procedures for the maintenance of fiscal records and the preparation of financial reports.Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists in the implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and payroll.
  • Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
  • Manages the installation and maintenance of accounting records.
  • Manages the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
  • Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
  • Establishes system controls for financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
  • Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
  • Assists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting, time keeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.
  • Directs all casino cage activities ensuring proper accounting of assets and efficient daily operations.
  • Ensure reports required for the Illinois Gaming Board are timely completed and submitted.
  • Hires, trains and manages staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental standards, policies and programs.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance
  • Five or more years of accounting related experience. Gaming Experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting software, payroll systems, spreadsheet and word processing software
  • Experience developing financial reports, metrics, and models is required
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels are required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

  • Frequently required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekends as needed
