Job Description:
Cavalry Disaster Advocates is seeking a Residential Construction Estimator to join our team in the Chico, California area. This role involves preparing estimates for residential property repairs related to insurance claims and disaster recovery projects.
We are willing to train the right candidate, so prior estimating experience is not required. However, construction experience is a strong plus. Strong computer skills are mandatory, as the role requires working with estimating software and digital documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare residential construction estimates using company software
- Review property damage reports, photos, and documentation
- Calculate material, labor, and repair costs
- Assist with insurance claim estimate preparation and revisions
- Maintain organized digital project files
- Communicate with team members regarding estimate updates
Requirements:
- Must live near Chico, CA
- Strong computer skills required
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to learn estimating software
- Ability to analyze photos and documentation to determine repair scope
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
- Residential construction, remodeling, or restoration
- Estimating experience
- Xactimate or similar estimating software
- Insurance claim experience
