Duties

  • Lead engaging and therapeutic group sessions focused on behavioral health, social work, addiction counseling, or special education topics during weekend hours
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand clients’ needs and develop tailored treatment plans
  • Monitor and document client progress through detailed medical documentation and records while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
  • Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention and crisis management techniques to ensure client safety
  • Administer medication as prescribed, monitor vital signs when necessary, and record medical terminology accurately in medical records
  • Collect data on client behaviors and treatment outcomes to inform ongoing care plans and ensure quality patient care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including social work professionals, medical staff, and educators

Experience

  • Proven experience working with adults in behavioral health or social work settings
  • Strong background in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management strategies
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and medical documentation standards such as HIPAA regulations
  • Familiarity with addiction counseling, PTSD, and mental health disorders
  • Ability to collect and analyze data effectively to monitor client progress and treatment efficacy
  • Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, team collaboration, and client engagement
