Position Overview:

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Certifications such as Certified Medical Manager (CMM) or Certified Healthcare Administrative Professional (CHAP) are preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Must have paid experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility in a healthcare setting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and patient scheduling platforms.
    • Knowledge of insurance billing and coding processes.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership and staff management abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance, including patient privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the multi-specialty facility, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Supervise and support administrative staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and team development.
  • Manage patient scheduling systems to optimize appointment availability and minimize wait times.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including patient privacy laws (HIPAA), OSHA standards, and other applicable requirements.
  • Oversee insurance billing, coding, and revenue cycle management to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain proficiency with EHR/EMR systems, troubleshooting issues and coordinating with IT as needed.
  • Prepare and manage office budgets, supply inventory, and vendor relationships.
  • Address patient concerns and resolve operational issues to maintain a positive patient experience.
