We’re looking for a motivated Distribution Center Manager to lead our warehouse team and ensure day-to-day operations flow smoothly, especially in a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) environment.This is more than just a warehouse management role, it's an opportunity to shape how we move, store, and ship goods in compliance with federal trade regulations while fostering a strong and efficient team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all daily operations of the distribution center, including receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) procedures and U.S. Customs regulations.
- Lead, train, and support warehouse staff—fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability.
- Track key performance metrics (KPIs) for safety, productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing and sales teams to balance supply and demand.
- Drive continuous improvement by optimizing workflows, warehouse space, and equipment usage.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, EEOC, and company safety protocols.
- Resolve employee relations concerns and support HR in performance reviews and coaching.
- Maintain detailed records to ensure high standards in product integrity and customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Hands-on experience managing warehouse operations within an FTZ environment.
- Knowledge of customs compliance, bonded warehouse procedures, and federal documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, plus comfort with analytics and data tools.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving setting.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and EEOC compliance.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
- Experience in logistics planning or transportation management.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies.
