Job DescriptionJoin Our Team as a Custom Painter/Finisher at Re-View Historic Windows!
Position Overview: Re-View Historic Windows is a renowned custom fabricator of wood windows and a dedicated restorer of historical wood & steel windows. We're looking for a skilled Painter to join our finish department, where precision and attention to detail are paramount. Our paint line boasts four separate paint booths, ensuring every window receives a flawless finish before leaving our facility.Position Description:
- Prepare, clean, and maintain spray equipment, paint booths, and lines to uphold our exacting standards.
- Load and unload window components onto the paint line with care and precision.
- Monitor the active line for collisions and hang-ups to ensure smooth operations.
- Layout and organize large window components for horizontal paint application.
- Apply finish paint and/or stain to window components, ensuring multiple applications as needed.
- Meet and maintain work output as assigned by the Finish Team Supervisor or Operations Director.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, including sanding, lumber preparation, measuring, cutting, staging, masking, filling nail holes, caulking, sanding, trimming silicone, glass cleaning, touch-up painting, weatherstrip application, packaging, and palletizing trim components.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on a daily basis.
Finishes Applied:
- Acrylic latex paints (Benjamin Moore Aura or Regal Select, Sherwin-Williams Duration or Emerald)
- Wiping stains
- Pre-catalyzed lacquer
- Two-component finishes (e.g., Tnemec)
Standard Operating Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 5:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Friday: 5:30 am to 11:00 am (as assigned, overtime)
- Breaks: 3 – 10-minute paid breaks
- Lunch: 1 – 30-minute unpaid lunch
Experience:
- 1-5 years of production/manufacturing finish/paint application experience
Required Skills:
- Experience with Air Assist Airless Sprayers (desired).
- Proficiency in managing paint/stain booths and paint lines.
- Compliance with OSHA requirements, including being clean-shaven and able to pass a respirator fit test.
