Dear Garden is an established residential design/build firm in Bucks County, Pa. specializing in the design and installation of detailed gardens and outdoor environments that include plantings, stonework and lighting. We are seeking individuals to join our group who are passionate about gardens and enjoy being part of a team.
OPERATIONS
- Managerial oversight of all operational systems and infrastructure to provide the most efficient use of labor and delivery of project to client, including: document and proposal generation/presentation to clients, organization of project plans, notes and updates
- Maintains continuous lines of communication between DGA and client and serves as the primary point of contact, ensuring that client has excellent experience with DGA from start to finish.
- Create and manage production schedules, review job costing data and maintain labor rates and material costs
- Assist with estimating, material procurement, change orders, final invoicing and identify and update any information that can impact final invoice costs
- Coordinate and manage oversight of production activities ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure all filed reporting documents are completed and effectively flow between external and internal operations
- Proactively identify risk, potential problems with production and find resolution
- Maintain and manage subcontractors and service partners
- Utilize productivity/project management software and systems to their fullest potential
PERSONNEL ADMIN
- Actively recruit, pursue and identify potential new hires and field personnel with emphasis on new hires
- Develop a vetting process and new employee criteria
- Provide support for design team
- Develop action plans for growth for field production team members, communicate clear objectives, goals and reinforce accountability, emphasis on achievement, encouragement and trust
- Ensure that all production team members receive proper orientation and training for their position including company policies, procedures and safety
- Monitor the incentive/bonus structure for field teams based on targets and goals
- Onboard/train field personnel to utilize Dynascape and/or any automated process improvement related to efficiency
- Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement and empowerment
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/MARKETING/BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
- Consistently identify and pursue business opportunities in line with DGA target market and client base
- Explore potential opportunity to expand market position, service segments and new profit centers
- Drive all facets of project revenue growth including enhancements and add-ons
- Evaluate and identify current online exposure, recommend upgrades or enhancements to fully represent DGA in the most positive and effective manner
- Explore SEO and identify measures to increase DGA visibility to target market
- Managerial oversight of P & L and project accounting reports to streamline and simplify data relevant to revenue and gross margin analysis
- Serve as advisor for operations, process improvement, financial management, budgeting, sales, personnel, customer service and policy matters
- Develop and contribute to DGA strategic goals and objectives
