Job Title: CT Technologist
Position Overview
As a CT Technologist, you will perform high-quality diagnostic CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and excellent care.
Key Responsibilities
- Review radiology requisitions and physician orders to confirm proper procedures.
- Collect and provide prior relevant exams for Radiologist review.
- Instruct and prepare patients for procedures; position and immobilize patients as necessary.
- Determine and adjust exposure factors to obtain quality CT images and radiographs.
- Clean and organize work area; ensure availability of required supplies.
- Process, review, and evaluate image quality. Report equipment repair or adjustment needs.
- Ensure proper use of safety devices such as shielding, lead aprons, and gloves.
- Stay current with knowledge and skills through professional associations and continuing education.
- Assist with training radiology students and orienting new technologists.
- Perform venipunctures for contrast media injection; monitor patients for reactions or complications.
- Communicate wet/stat results to physicians and discuss results with patients when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–4 years of CT Technologist experience required.
- Ability to perform venipunctures and administer contrast media.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous learning.
