SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Digital Marketing Manager leads the execution and strategy of the Gardens digital communications across social media, email, and web platforms. This role is responsible for maintaining a consistent, engaging digital presence that aligns with institutional goals and strengthens the Gardens connection to current and future audiences. The Digital Marketing Manager is a creative and organized storyteller who excels in developing data-driven strategies and creating engaging content. They will collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing and work cross-departmentally to support revenue-driving campaigns, public engagement, and audience growth.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
\tExcellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
\tStrong understanding of branding, digital trends, and audience engagement.
\tHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
\tTeam-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and adapt.
\tAnalytical thinking and the ability to interpret performance data.
\tDemonstrated content creation skills across copywriting, design, or video.
\tFamiliarity with WordPress or a similar CMS is required.
\tGraphic design skills and experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite strongly preferred.
\tWorking knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
\tBachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field required.
\t2-3 years of experience in digital marketing or communication roles required.
\tExperience with social media management in a professional setting is required.
\tPhotography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software are strongly preferred.
\tExperience with paid digital advertising (Meta, Google Ads) strongly preferred.
\tExperience with tools such as MailChimp, Google Analytics, Airtable, and Dropbox is preferred.
\tBilingual or multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
TASKS & FUNCTIONS
\tDevelop, manage, and execute the Gardens digital marketing strategies across web, email, and social media.
\tManage daily content for social media platforms (primarily Instagram and Facebook), including writing copy, scheduling posts, responding to comments, and monitoring performance.
\tDesign, edit, and deploy email campaigns using MailChimp and other platforms.
\tMaintain and update sabot.org through the WordPress CMS, ensuring timely and accurate content.
\tMonitor and report on digital performance using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and social insights dashboards.
\tMonitor trends in digital marketing, social media, and user behavior to inform recommendations for innovative tactics and content strategies.
\tSupport paid social and search campaigns with targeting recommendations, creative briefs, and performance tracking.
\tMaintain a digital content calendar aligned with campaign timelines, institutional messaging, and seasonal priorities.
\tCollaborate with departments across the organization to support fundraising, membership, and exhibitions.
\tProduce short-form videos and other creative content as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
The physical demands and characteristics of the work environment described here are representative of those occurring in the performance of the essential functions of this job. The employee may occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds. Although the position is primarily located indoors, the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions is expected, and the employee is expected to perform with minimal supervision and act independently within the scope of normal duties and responsibilities. On regular occasions, required to work extended hours as well as weekends and evenings in an outdoor setting. Minimal travel may be required.
