Schedule: 36 hours per week; every other weekend required; holidays as scheduled

Float Required: Yes (between ED borders, MS/Telemetry, and IMC units within scope)
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse – MS/Telemetry (ER Border) provides high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients boarded from the Emergency Department awaiting inpatient placement. This role functions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment managing complex medical and telemetry patients within scope of practice. The nurse collaborates closely with ED, MS/Tele, and IMC teams to ensure safe, efficient, and coordinated patient care.
Key Responsibilities

- Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process in a high-acuity border setting
- Perform comprehensive assessments for ED-admitted patients awaiting inpatient beds
- Provide continuous telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Manage complex medical-surgical and IMC-level patients within scope
- Administer medications safely including ACLS-level interventions when required
- Collaborate with ED, MS/Tele, and IMC teams to coordinate transitions of care
- Respond appropriately to rapid patient deterioration and activate emergency response teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to infection control, PPE, and patient safety standards
- Float within specialty areas as needed based on census

Required Qualifications

- Licensure: Active Maryland RN license (required at submission)
- Experience:\t

- Minimum 2 years recent MS/Telemetry experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- Experience in fast-paced, high-volume settings preferred
