Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers to support students in the Denver area. This contract position offers the chance to work onsite in three distinct roles within the Adams 12 School District, serving students with diverse learning needs across multiple age groups.

Positions available include:

  • Affective Needs Teacher in a center-based program at an elementary school
  • Full-Time Learning Specialist at a K-8 school
  • Full-Time SLS Teacher specializing in autism support at an elementary school

These full-time roles require a commitment of 35+ hours per week and are available immediately, with contracts extending through May 22, 2026. The assignment provides meaningful engagement in schools dedicated to supporting exceptional students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Colorado Department of Education Special Education certification
  • Experience ranging from entry-level (0-2 years) to seasoned professionals (10+ years)
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic educational environment with varying student needs
  • Strong classroom management and individualized instructional skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to students unique learning requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize educational outcomes
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth
