Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate both manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, boring machines, and grinders to machine plastic or metal workpieces. The ideal candidate will be capable of working to exacting tolerances and determining speeds and feeds to produce high-quality products. You must be adept at visualizing finished products and recognizing and correcting blueprint errors. Additionally, you may function as the final inspector for finished manufactured products.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
- Perform machine setups to obtain close tolerances, fitting, and alignment of machined parts.
- Obtain required inspections on first pieces of a run according to prescribed procedures and perform inspections on work-in-progress using a wide variety of measuring devices.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials for machines.
- Acquire raw materials, supplies, tools, etc., when necessary.
- Inspect machinery for needed repairs and perform minor repairs within expertise.
- Examine and measure completed units and parts to identify defects and ensure conformity with specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors.
- Utilize Geometric Dimension & Tolerance as called out on print.
- Operate fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience with CNC mills, lathes, and manufacturing/shop environments.
- Proficiency in operating CNC Lathe and Mill as well as Manual Lathe and Mill.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Experience with robotics and 5-axis machines.
- Familiarity with drill presses, mikes calipers, height gauges, surface grinders, and Blanchard grinders.
- Assembly experience, especially reading blueprints.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent mechanical skills and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Good math skills.
- Proficient in operating a computer and internal software.
- Efficient time management skills.
- Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $54080.00/yr.
Due to their union benefits do not kick in until after 90 days. *Make sure candidates are aware. Competitive 401k, health dental
