Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed for an elementary school setting in Rossville, GA. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026, serving a Pre-K and Kindergarten inclusion class with approximately six students. The role requires an educator committed to supporting young learners with diverse needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to Pre-K and Kindergarten students with individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with families and school staff regarding student development
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with early childhood special education, preferably in a public school setting
- Knowledge of inclusion strategies and behavior management techniques
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
