JOB SUMMARY

This position requires an experienced creative services specialist who is a corporate storyteller with a strong understanding of brand management, digital platforms, content creation, and audience engagement. You will be responsible for building digital assets and communicating messages across third-party and owned media channels, including social media, web, intranet, and digital screens.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

As a Creative Services Specialist, you will support the creative development and execution of our digital communication strategy, engaging our internal and external audiences and enhancing our online presence with eye-catching visuals and video. This is a role requiring effective collaboration with subject matter experts and managers at all levels to effectively design digital content to support strategic, corporate communications and learning initiatives. Core competencies include brand management, creative and innovative ideation, and technical skills on digital solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

  1. Digital Communication Coordination: Contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive digital communication strategies across various channels that are aligned with overall business objectives.
  2. Content Creation: Create engaging and informative content across various digital channels, including social media, intranet, email, video, and other digital assets. Own digital library management. Ensure content is consistent with brand voice and guidelines.
  3. Social Media Management: Develop and schedule digital content, monitor conversations, analyze performance, and create an engaging social media presence across relevant platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
  4. Video Production: Plan, film, refine, and edit engaging video content for various digital platforms, including social media, presentations, events, and learning materials.
  5. Digital Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on the performance of social media communication activities using relevant metrics. Identify trends, provide insights, and recommend data-driven adjustments to strategies.
  6. Digital Trend Innovation: Continuously research and stay informed about the latest digital communication trends, technologies, and best practices. Recommend and implement innovative approaches to enhance our digital presence.
  7. Project Management: Manage digital communication projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget using project management techniques and tools.
  8. Subject Matter Expert and Support: Work closely with the manager of corporate communications, as well as departments such as sales, operations, and marketing.
  9. Brand Management: Responsible for brand governance standards and ensuring the brand reputation and visual images are to standard.
  10. Other assignments, as related to the role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365, and social media platforms and management programs such as Buffer or Hootsuite.
  • Knowledge of professional audio/video techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong understanding of different content formats and their best practices.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics dashboards to track and analyze performance.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • In office environment
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times

TRAVEL

  • This job requires no planned business travel. However, there may be a periodic need for travel for corporate events requiring creative services support.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic arts, or a related field is highly desired. An equivalent job experience level combined with professional certifications will be considered.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a digital creator role using graphic design and video editing tools is required.
  • Knowledge of digital communications and design best practices.
