Job Description

Director of Nursing - Children’s Services Needed for a Fulltime position in Assonet, MA. Monday-Friday Day Shift.

Required Skills:

  • Current Massachusetts RN license in good standing
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred)
  • Proven leadership experience in pediatric or educational health settings
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric medical conditions such as diabetes, seizures, and complex medical needs
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and team-building skills
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols and policies

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Certification from the Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association (DDNA) within 3 years of hire
  • Experience with medication delegation and emergency response in school environments
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary collaboration and family engagement
  • Proficiency with health information management systems

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related health field
  • Significant experience working with pediatric populations in educational or residential settings
  • Prior leadership roles supervising nursing teams within healthcare or school systems

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for over a year
  • Additional relevant state certifications for healthcare or educational practice in Massachusetts
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training, including online modules for school nursing certification
