Total Seed Production is a corn and soybean seed production facility located in Tipton, IN. We are currently seeking to fill the position of Accounting Specialist to be a member of our financial operations and compliance reporting team. This role supports multiple entities and requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work across departments with integrity and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, and monthly reconciliations.
- Track and process grower payments
- Generate invoices for all billable services
- Set-up and run financial reports
- File quarterly/annual tax, compliance, and audit reports (IFTA, sales tax, 1099s, property tax, workers’ compensation, grain license, etc.).
- Maintain accurate customer, vendor, and grower records.
- Support inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Organize data and assist with reporting across departments.
- Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in office administration and accounting (AR/AP, reconciliations).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Strong Excel Background Needed)
- Familiarity with accounting software (CenterPoint preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management.
