Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Medical ICU (MICU) with 36 beds
\n• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
\n• Days: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, Nights: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
\n• Required certifications: ACLS/BLS
\n• Must have greater than 2 years experience in ICU level unit
\n• Float to all ICUs and IMC units
\n• Work with ventilators, Arctic Sun, rapid infusers, CRRT machines, IV medication pumps, SCD machines, cooling blankets, and glucometers
\n• Use Meditech documentation system
\n• Dress code requires navy scrubs
\n• Direct patient care with no unit secretary or CNA support
\n• Experience required with vents, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, CPAP, and IV medications including Levophed, Epinephrine, Insulin, Neo synephrine, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Propofol, Precedex, fentanyl, versed, Amiodarone, Lidocaine, and paralytics
\n• Advanced skills needed: TTM, hemodynamics, PA catheter
\n• Procedures performed on unit include intubation, chest tube insertion, bronchoscopy, EGD, colonoscopy, wound debridement, and line insertion
