Inside Sales & Estimating Coordinator (Construction Materials)

Location: Commerce, CA (On-site only)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (DOE)
Benefits: 401(k) + opportunity for growth

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable, motivated, and organized Inside Sales & Estimating Coordinator to join our office team in Commerce, CA.

This is a full-time, in-office role where you’ll assist customers from across the U.S. and Canada — including homeowners, architects, engineers, project managers, and designers — as they plan and purchase roof-deck and building-system materials.

You’ll answer phone calls, respond to emails, create quotes, and manage customer orders from start to finish. You’ll also learn how to read architectural drawings and use estimating software (like Bluebeam) to measure square footage, slopes, and perimeters for material takeoffs.

This position is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized, and wants to build a long-term career in the construction materials industry.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage inbound calls and emails from customers daily.
  • Assist customers in understanding our products using tools such as 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Enter customer information, create and manage quotes, and update order details in our internal system.
  • Follow up with warm leads and maintain active communication until customers receive their shipments.
  • Review architectural plans to identify roof deck sections and perform simple takeoff measurements (square footage, perimeter, slope).
  • Learn and use Bluebeam estimating software (training provided).
  • Work closely with sales, logistics, and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate orders.
  • Keep customer records, emails, and project details organized and up to date.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — confident on the phone and in email.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Eager to learn and grow into a long-term career.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, PDFs, and general computer tools.
  • Ability to understand basic measurements and geometry (square footage, slope, perimeter).
  • Prior experience in construction, estimating, or customer service is a plus — but not required.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch
  • 40-hour work week — on-site in Commerce, CA

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Consistent hours and a stable work environment
  • Real opportunity for career advancement — we promote from within
  • Supportive team that values communication, growth, and reliability
  • Training in Bluebeam estimating software and roof-deck systems
  • Work directly with architects, designers, and builders on exciting commercial and residential projects

Compensation & Growth

  • $22.00 – $25.00/hour, depending on experience and skill level
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Long-term career growth opportunities as you gain technical and estimating experience
