We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead people operations for a growing workforce in Savannah, Georgia. This role oversees core HR programs, supports organizational planning, and provides guidance on employee relations, compliance, compensation, and benefits administration. The position also manages a six-person HR team while partnering with senior leadership to shape effective workforce strategies and deliver clear updates to executive and external audiences.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and develop a team of six HR professionals, setting priorities and ensuring consistent delivery across day-to-day human resources operations.
• Oversee HR support for a workforce of approximately 350 employees and help prepare for the planned addition of a large part-time employee population.
• Design, document, and maintain HR procedures and operating standards to promote consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Review payroll processes in detail and recommend or implement compensation policies that align with business needs and applicable regulations.
• Manage compliance activities related to E-Verify, unemployment filings, and other required employment reporting at the state and federal levels.
• Coordinate complex payroll matters, including expatriate and international pay considerations, while working within applicable legal and company guidelines.
• Provide leadership in labor and employee relations matters, balancing immediate issue resolution with longer-term workforce planning.
• Direct key HR programs such as onboarding, benefits administration, and policy implementation to support employee experience and organizational goals.
• Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly presentations for senior executives, board-level stakeholders, and other external audiences.
• Support HR data and process management through systems and reporting tools, including enterprise HRIS, payroll platforms, and analytics applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field is required.
• At least 7 years of progressive human resources experience, including leadership responsibility, is required.
• Prior experience in supply chain, logistics, or automotive environments is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing HR operations for a mixed workforce of salaried and hourly employees.
• Strong working knowledge of employee relations, labor relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with payroll oversight, compensation practices, E-Verify, unemployment reporting, and payroll laws across relevant jurisdictions.
• Proficiency with HR and payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, SAP, SAP S/4HANA, or comparable platforms is preferred.
• Ability to present clearly and confidently to executive leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.
