Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various diagnostic techniques, including CT scans and nuclear medicine. The X-ray Technician will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician requests, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations, including CT scans and PET scans, to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging results in compliance with medical standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss imaging findings and contribute to patient care decisions.
• Ensure proper functioning of imaging equipment through routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Educate patients about the imaging process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
• Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology and emergency medicine practices.

Qualifications

• Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and diagnostic radiology principles.
• Experience with various imaging modalities such as CT, PET scans, and nuclear medicine is preferred.
• Familiarity with emergency medicine and urgent care settings is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
