Job DescriptionAs an Assembler, you will perform a variety of tasks involved in assembling components and sub-assemblies, operating machinery (including heat/metal bonding processes), and completing inspections and testing. This role supports production goals by maintaining quality standards, following work instructions, and working safely and efficiently.Responsibilities
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
- Assemble product according to drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Work Instructions
- Perform quality inspections, audits, and testing
- Conduct and monitor machine operation (including equipment that conducts heat for metal bonding)
- Read, interpret, and follow mechanical assembly drawings
- Complete tool/finished goods calibration and related documentation
- Pack finished products and process paperwork for shipping
- Inspect and repair RMA (returned) products as needed
- Maintain line efficiency and work pace according to operating standards
- Assemble parts without creating defects, rejects, or poor-quality output
- Follow all safety rules (including safe operation of air tools, brazing machines, and other equipment)
- Report issues with quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Group Lead/Production Supervisor
- Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and support 5S practices
- Cross-train in other areas as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (using proper lifting techniques) and maneuver up to 50 lbs
- Ability to use hand tools/pneumatic tools and operate machines as needed
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and stay focused on repetitive tasks
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English
- Ability to use measuring and testing equipment
