The Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in supporting pharmacists to ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of medications in both hospital and retail pharmacy settings. Minimum Qualifications:

- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from an accredited organization is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy laws, medication names, and dosage calculations.
- Ability to operate fax machines and pharmacy software systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in hospital or retail pharmacy environments.
- Advanced certification or specialized training in sterile compounding or hospital pharmacy procedures.
- Strong familiarity with pharmacy inventory management systems.

Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system and verify patient information.
- Fill prescriptions by measuring, packaging, and labeling medications according to pharmacist instructions.
- Operate and maintain fax machines and other communication tools to coordinate with healthcare providers.
- Ensure all equipment and work areas are properly sterilized to maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
- Support pharmacists in hospital and retail pharmacy settings by preparing medications and managing workflow.
- Demonstrate reliability by adhering to schedules, protocols, and safety standards consistently.
- Provide respectful and professional service to patients and healthcare team members at all times.
