- Weekly Hours: 36 hours\n
- Shift: Rotating Day/Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); every other weekend required\n
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $2,040\n
- On-Call: Required\n
- Floating: Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity\n
- Patient Ratio: 1:1–2\n
\n\nJob Requirements / Qualifications\n
- \n
- Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU or neurocritical care experience; ICU travel nursing experience preferred\n
- Valid RN license: compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission\n
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program\n
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA only)\n
- Proficient with Epic EHR (electronic health record) — Epic experience required\n
- Ability to float to units of similar or lower acuity as needed\n
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)\n
\n\nResponsibilities – Neuro ICU RN / Neurocritical Care\n
- \n
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult neurocritical patients, including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, meningitis, neuromuscular disorders, and post-op neurosurgery cases\n
- Manage advanced neurocritical care procedures: EVD and ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and bedside procedures (tracheostomy, PEG, central and arterial line care)\n
- Initiate and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, manage dysrhythmias, and provide emergency interventions per unit protocol\n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurosurgery, neurology, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, radiology, and pharmacy\n
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EHR and support continuity of care across shifts\n
- Participate in self-scheduling, adhere to weekend and on-call requirements, and float as needed\n
