Job DescriptionJob Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Rehab / Long-Term Care (Travel)Location: Rochester, NY 14513Employment Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)Compensation: Travel pay package available (based on experience and qualifications)Schedule:
- Shift: Day Shift
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Timing: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Important Requirement: Must reside 75+ miles from the facility (travel candidates only)Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a travel assignment in a Rehabilitation / Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. The CNA will provide direct patient care, assist with daily living activities, and support the clinical team in delivering safe and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, feeding, grooming, and dressing
- Support patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation (including use of Hoyer lifts and transfer devices)
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations, oxygen saturation)
- Provide incontinence care and assist with catheter care
- Turn and reposition patients to prevent pressure injuries
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety at all times
- Document intake/output, weights, and report any changes in patient condition
- Follow infection control protocols and proper use of PPE
- Assist with specimen collection and routine patient care tasks
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare team members
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of CNA experience
- Experience in Rehabilitation or Long-Term Care (LTC) preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Must meet travel eligibility criteria (75+ miles from facility)
