A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Medical Front Office Receptionist in Blacksburg, VA. The role would be working for a major healthcare company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Compensation
• The pay for this position is $17.50 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available to full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Highlights
• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
• Professionally greet and welcome patients, families, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Answer, screen, and direct all incoming calls to the appropriate personnel, relaying messages accurately and promptly
• Check in patients, verify and update demographics and insurance information, and collect co-pays and balances
• Provide and explain paperwork to patients prior to examination; collect and proof for completeness
• Schedule and record patient appointments, cancellations, and reschedules; notify clinical staff of patient arrivals and changes
• Schedule outside consults and procedures as ordered by physicians
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records by scanning, filing, and routing documents appropriately
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked front office and lobby area
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA guidelines
• Support clinic operations by scheduling CT and PET scans once approved through insurance
• Complete other administrative and clerical duties as assigned
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 months of front medical office experience with scheduling and insurance forms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and scheduling software
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

• Knowledge of clinic routines, personnel, and daily scheduling procedures
• Strong communication, adaptability, and multitasking skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism and deliver quality service in a fast-paced environment
