Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams
- Support implementation and ongoing use of SAP and MES systems for production tracking and reporting
- Monitor KPIs (yield, throughput, downtime, scrap rates) and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including documentation, audits, and corrective actions
- Develop and maintain process documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process maps)
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Provide bilingual (Spanish/English) support for training, documentation, and communication across teams
- Assist in equipment validation, process validation, and new product introduction (NPI)
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for process optimization and manufacturing systems
- Drive strategic improvements across multiple production lines or facilities
- Lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Interface with leadership on performance metrics, cost savings initiatives, and operational strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, or related field)
- 3-7 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with SAP and MES systems
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel and similar)
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
