Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams
  • Support implementation and ongoing use of SAP and MES systems for production tracking and reporting
  • Monitor KPIs (yield, throughput, downtime, scrap rates) and recommend improvements
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including documentation, audits, and corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain process documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process maps)
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Provide bilingual (Spanish/English) support for training, documentation, and communication across teams
  • Assist in equipment validation, process validation, and new product introduction (NPI)
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for process optimization and manufacturing systems
  • Drive strategic improvements across multiple production lines or facilities
  • Lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior engineers and technicians
  • Interface with leadership on performance metrics, cost savings initiatives, and operational strategy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, or related field)
  • 3-7 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and MES systems
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel and similar)
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
