Job DescriptionOpportunities for RNs & LPNs in Observation Telemetry

This position invites Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to deliver patient care within an observation telemetry unit. The role involves collaboration with various departments while ensuring patient confidentiality is upheld. Applicants are required to possess valid nursing licenses and certifications, including Basic Life Support, with additional specialized certifications being encouraged or mandatory. Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care while maintaining professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients. Assesses the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers. Coordinates patient care in collaboration with other departments and safeguards patient rights and confidentiality. Performs responsibilities in alignment with our mission, values, and service standards.

Position Details:Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of a nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure, meeting all state board requirements.
  • Experience: Relevant experience preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
    • Additional certifications may be required based on the specific position/unit, including but not limited to:
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
      • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
      • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
      • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
      • CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
      • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
      • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
      • PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
      • S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)
      • C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
      • Other unit-specific certifications as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and walking required during shifts.
  • Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed for job duties.

RN Qualifications:

  • Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited institution; BSN preferred.
  • License: Must possess a current RN Temporary Permit or RN license in the State of Missouri.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association.

LPN Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred Experience: At least 1 year of LPN experience.
  • Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration will be given for comparable educational experience and successful licensure. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license in the state of employment, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
    • LPN-IV Certification must be completed prior to or within 3 months of hire.
