POSITION TITLE: Senior Industrial Account Manager

COMPENSATION: Competitive Base + DOE

BENEFITS: Standard package

LOCATION: Kansas City, MO

SUMMARY: The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify potential markets in the geographic area considered to be a good risk for the company to do business.
  • Maintain and develop business relationships with existing and new clients in a specified area or line of business.
  • Responsible for developing, creating, and presenting client value presentations.
  • Coordinate information gathering on markets, industry, and client trends to develop a corporate strategy for business development (domestic and international)
  • Direct other Business Development managers in sales, training, and growth of their assigned area of responsibility
  • Maintain and promote good member relations by consistently applying Human Resource, Safety, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Develop, monitor, negotiate, and secure contracts for agreed-upon services between the company and the client.
  • Typically manage personnel and providing an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback
  • Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations.
  • Analyze situations, identify, and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement an appropriate course of action.
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
  • Develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.
  • May need to travel to attend to business-related matters.
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study
  • 15 years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and other stakeholders
  • Job-related technical knowledge is necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
