Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Recent experience working in a Level II or Level III NICU
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
- Strong assessment and clinical skills specific to neonatal populations
- Detailed knowledge of NICU equipment, medication administration, and evidence-based protocols
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, evidence-based care to critically ill or premature infants in collaboration with neonatologists and advanced practice providers
- Closely monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient status, and intervene promptly
- Administer medications, fluids, and nutrition tailored to neonatal needs
- Provide ongoing support and education to families regarding infant care, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
- Document all care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records
- Adhere strictly to infection control, medication safety, and hospital policies within the NICU
- Participate in ongoing professional development and unit-based quality improvement initiatives
