Full Time Medical Assistant – San Jose, CA

LGTC Group is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Metabolic Psychiatric Clinic located in San Jose, CA. This is an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team focused on integrated mental and physical healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reinforce patient education from group dietitian meetings, including nutrition, metabolic psychiatry principles, and lifestyle modifications (training and support will be provided as needed).
  • Sanitize medical equipment and ensure exam rooms are ready for patient use.
  • Confirm lab completion and follow up with patients.
  • Take and record manual vital signs.
  • Administer subcutaneous injections as directed by provider.
  • Maintain medication inventory and safety standards, including logging administered doses, monitoring refrigerator temperature, and ensuring supplies are stocked and compliant.
  • Manage insurance verifications and medication prior authorizations.
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
  • Ensure all patient forms and consents are completed.
  • Assist with billing processes and help resolve billing issues.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED plus completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Required)
  • Experience with insurance verification, billing, and appointment scheduling (Required)
  • Proficiency in administering injections and taking manual vital signs (Required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and patient-centered approach
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards
  • CPR/BLS certification (Required)
