Robert Half is partnering with a locally established organization to identify a reliable Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on, onsite role ideal for someone who enjoys keeping records accurate, staying organized, and supporting core accounting functions in a steady, team-oriented environment.
Important: This position is onsite in Honolulu. The client is prioritizing candidates currently residing on Oahu, as relocation assistance is not available.
Responsibilities:
- Process daily financial transactions, including data entry and basic journal entries, within accounting systems such as QuickBooks
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring invoices and payments are handled accurately and on time
- Perform routine bank and account reconciliations to help maintain clean and accurate records
- Review transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as they arise
- Assist with payroll processing by supporting time tracking and data entry into payroll systems
- Maintain organized financial files and documentation for internal use
- Help prepare basic reports and support monthly close activities as needed
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or similar administrative finance work
- Comfort working in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage routine tasks independently
- Ability to work onsite in Honolulu and collaborate with a local team
