A Registered Nurse with ICU experience is needed for a contract position in Aurora, CO. This role requires at least 2 years of ICU nursing experience and the ability to provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a mixed medical ICU setting, including trauma, neurosurgery, and medical cases. Candidates must be comfortable with a 2:1 patient ratio and occasional floating to cardiac and stroke units with a maximum 3:1 ratio.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed medical ICU.
- Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient care coordination.
- Provide support on remote and on-unit telemetry.
- Float to other regional facilities or specialized units when needed, with notification 2 hours prior to shift.
- Adhere to internal call-off policies, potentially including weekend or holiday shifts.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with ICU certification.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
- TCAR training required prior to start.
- Navy blue scrub colors required.
- Ability to float between locations within the region (Aurora, Avista, Castle Rock, Littleton, Parker, Porter).
- Comfortable working under a 2:1 patient ratio in ICU and 3:1 ratio in cardiac and stroke units.
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week.
- Weekend commitment: 6 shifts every 6 weeks.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Start dates available biweekly.
