Meyer Distributing is looking for a Box Machine Supervisor to join our Jasper team.

The Box Machine Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily Box Machine Processes and personnel. This includes sorting, preparing, and packaging product requiring custom packaging. The ideal candidate will consider safety, quality, and team work to a high regard, work well in a team environment, and be able to lead their team efficiently.
SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 6:00pm with occasional Sunday's. End time will vary due to workload.
PAY:
Based on experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Supervise and support Box Machine team members in daily operations
- Train and mentor new and existing associates on safety procedures, equipment use, and workflow best practices
- Monitor packaging quality and ensure all products meet customer and company standards
- Operate and troubleshoot box machinery; assist with corrugate changes as needed
- Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the packaging process and implement solutions to improve throughput
- Work collaboratively with leadership to review data and develop strategies that optimize performance and reduce operational waste
- Ensure accurate labeling, use of proper packing materials, and staging for various shipping methods (UPS, FedEx, LTL, truckload)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; enforce end-of-day cleanup standards
- Ensure full compliance with PPE use, including gloves and protective-toed shoes
- Track and maintain appropriate levels of packaging supplies and materials
- Communicate clearly with team members and leadership regarding priorities, expectations, and changes
- Use basic computer systems to enter data, generate reports, and track productivity
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
