Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) to join a specialized Cardiac/Step-Down Unit. In this role, you will provide advanced, patient-centered care to individuals with acute and chronic cardiac conditions in a monitored environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, proficiency in cardiac monitoring, and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to cardiac and step-down patients
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to ECG rhythms and arrhythmias
- Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate timely interventions
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
- Coordinate and implement comprehensive patient care plans
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
- Identify safety risks and implement appropriate preventive measures
- Provide care across diverse patient populations (adolescent to geriatric)
- Support quality improvement initiatives and unit-based goals
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Missouri or compact state)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
- Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior experience in cardiac, telemetry, or step-down units
Certifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of hire
