RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit with post-surgical and specialty patient populations
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 in a 25-bed unit
\n• Care for patients including post TNK, orthopedic, cranial-neurosurgery, laminectomies, and polytrauma cases
\n• Float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
\n• May float to other medical surgical units as needed
\n• Weekend rotation typically every other or every 3rd weekend including holiday rotation
\n• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
\n• 16-hour minimum commitment with no on-call responsibilities
\n• Experience with drips and titrations including heparin drips, PCAs, and 3% sodium
\n• Work with specialized equipment including lift equipment, telemetry, chest tubes, and airvo
\n• Must have 24 months of stepdown, progressive care, or medical surgical experience
\n• Required experience in neurology, orthopedic, and trauma care
\n• EPIC EMR experience required
\n• Must have completed at least one travel contract within previous 12 months
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS (can be obtained during onboarding)
\n• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
