Description
American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring ARRT or RCIS certification and at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience.
Details
- Full-time contract position in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cath Lab/Cardiovascular specialty required; 2 years preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- ARRT, RCIS, RCES, or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification required (RCIS required within 18 months of hire if not already held)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required (must not expire prior to start date)
- Fluoroscopy Certification required
- Active license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures, including acting as scrub assistant and maintaining sterile conditions
- Operates imaging equipment and monitors and documents procedure images and events from the control room
- Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures
- Provides patient care under RN supervision, including patient and family education regarding pre- and post-procedure expectations
- Maintains appropriate stock levels for complex interventional and diagnostic procedures
- Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards
- Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives
- Radiation badges must be supplied by the candidate's agency/vendor
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
