Job Summary
The Lead Massage Therapist is responsible for the leadership and mentoring of the Massage Therapy team and assisting the Management in facility needs. Includes same responsibilities as Massage Therapist job summary leading by example. The Lead MT will be responsible for the onboarding and maintaining of brand standards through service flow and protocol, coaching MTs, and assisting with scheduling, goal setting, guest experience, and recovery. Below is a list of essential job duties, but as this is a leadership position, flexibility, and adaptability will be necessary as ad hoc and additional responsibilities will undoubtedly arise.

Responsibilities

  • Core Responsibilities: Perform all essential Massage Therapist duties and maintain excellent attendance.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent The NOW with inspiring professionalism and a commitment to an inclusive workplace.
  • Leadership Support: Assist management with boutique operations and serve as a liaison between Massage Therapists and the Leadership Team.
  • Staffing & Scheduling: Manage time-off requests, provide shift coverage, forecast hiring needs, and participate in candidate interviews.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct quarterly inventories of linen and equipment to ensure operational readiness and plan replacements.
  • Training & Development: Provide orientations, lead service training for new Massage Therapists, and coordinate team meetings.Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Leadership Team by sharing feedback and suggestions for ongoing improvements.


Qualifications

  • Experience as a lead and/or trainer Massage Therapist
  • Strong communication and coaching skills
  • Georgia State License required. Must present a license/certificate during the interview process and maintain it throughout employment if hired.
  • Knowledge of Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage and other modalities.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
