Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in Espanola, NM. This role involves providing tailored educational instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering their academic and social growth within a structured school environment. The position is a contract for the full academic school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and parents to ensure inclusive classroom settings.
- Utilize specialized instructional techniques and adaptive materials to support student learning.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to meet educational goals.
- Maintain pliance with all district, state, and federal regulations related to special education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid New Mexico teaching certification with an endorsement in Special Education.
- Experience working with high school students in a special education setting.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavioral management strategies.
- Excellent munication skills for working effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
