We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Radiology Lead Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and committed professional to lead our team of radiology technicians. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our radiology department, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. The role involves a combination of hands-on technical work, team leadership, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations in the radiology department, ensuring all procedures are carried out safely, effectively, and in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of radiology technicians, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations using advanced radiology equipment.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of radiology equipment to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to plan and customize patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the radiology department.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in radiology technology and techniques, and provide training to the team as necessary.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Ensure the radiology department meets all healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must be a certified American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a valid license.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a radiology setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Proficient in the use of modern radiology equipment and technology.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and protection regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
