Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available for the K-12 grade levels, including Grades K-5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12. This role is based in Holton, Kansas, and operates under a contract from January 2026 through June 2026. Candidates will work five days per week, with weekly hours ranging from 30 to 37.5.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of students within self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, and special day classrooms. The educator will develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to meet the diverse needs of students requiring specialized support.
Qualifications:
- Active State Teaching License in special education
- Experience teaching K-12 grade levels preferred
- Ability to manage self-contained and resource classroom settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills to support student progress and collaboration with parents and staff
