Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring IL licensure and a minimum of 1 year of ER experience.
Details
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Emergency Department in a 97-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- Every other weekend required
- Floating may be required between two campus locations (Belleville and Shiloh) as needed, as well as to inpatient units during slow periods
- No on-call requirements
- Charting is performed in Epic; experience with Epic is required
- Parking is free
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; MO state license required at time of consideration
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
- TNCC certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of emergency department RN experience required
- Strong teamwork, customer service, and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-track, triage, and high-acuity patient environments
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy scrubs are required
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years will be required
