Environmental Health & Safety Specialist | Holland, MI
Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Holland seeking Environmental Health & Safety Specialists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents, recommending corrective actions.
- Provide EHS training to employees on topics such as lockout/tagout, confined space, and hazardous waste management.
- Manage hazardous waste disposal programs, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate EHS records, including incident reports, training logs, and permits.
- Collaborate with production teams to integrate EHS best practices into manufacturing processes.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science field.
- 3+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct EHS training, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Experience with EHS management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
Bonus Qualifications
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 implementation and auditing
- Proficiency in EHS management software (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Sphera)
- Bilingual in Spanish or another relevant language
