Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced RN Manager – Labor and Delivery for a permanent leadership opportunity in Davie, Florida.
This role provides operational and clinical leadership for Labor and Delivery and Postpartum/Newborn Nursery services. The RN Manager is responsible for directing departmental operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting staff performance, and maintaining high-quality, patient-centered maternal and newborn care.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct, plan, organize, and evaluate Labor and Delivery and Postpartum/Newborn Nursery departments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies including State, TJC, CMS, and AHCA.
• Integrate unit activities with hospital-wide goals and initiatives.
• Maintain efficient and effective department operations through staffing oversight, budgeting, and resource management.
• Coordinate patient care services and collaborate with medical staff and hospital administration.
• Manage staff performance, development, and departmental accountability.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards.
• Ensure departmental policies and procedures align with corporate and regulatory requirements.
Leadership Scope
• Oversees approximately 27 FTEs
• Supports up to approximately 1,500 births annually
• Oversight includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum (20 beds), and Newborn Nursery
Compensation
Hourly Pay Range (Based on Experience)
• $42.36/hour (minimum)
• $52.96/hour (mid-range)
• $62.00/hour (maximum)
Requirements:
• Active, unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid compact licensure (subject to Florida licensing requirements).
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 90 days of employment start date.
• STABLE certification required within 60 months of employment start date.
• Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required within 60 months of employment start date.
• Strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills.
