We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to become a vital part of our expanding orthopedic team. This role offers a unique chance to be a foundational member of a new and rapidly developing orthopedic practice, allowing you to design, implement, and enhance a comprehensive Hand & Upper Extremity program from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of hand and upper extremity care, including treatment for complex fractures, nerve and tendon injuries, microsurgery, arthritis management, and elective procedures.
• Utilize strong institutional support, dedicated operating room access, and robust Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage to establish a successful and in-demand practice.
• Collaborate closely with emergency medicine, primary care, anesthesia, hospitalists, and therapy teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
• Enjoy the autonomy to develop and refine a top-tier hand surgery program within a new and growing practice.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery.
• Ability to secure medical licenses in Iowa and Illinois.
• A strong clinical and surgical skill set, with a passion for comprehensive hand and upper extremity care.
• Open to both recent graduates and experienced surgeons.

Working Conditions

• Level III Trauma Center.
• Shared evening and weekend call schedule (1:8).
• A predictable work schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance.
