About the Role

As National Sales Manager, youll lead and evolve Rumpls wholesale business across the US. This role is responsible for building a high-performing sales function, expanding distribution with intention, and unlocking new business opportunities that align with Rumpls long-term brand and growth strategy.

Youll own the day-to-day execution and collaborate with a high-performing team on the bigger picturedeveloping strong internal and external sales teams, managing agency partners, and cultivating direct relationships with key accounts. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of sales strategy, relationship-building, and execution.

Youll work closely with the Commercial, Operations, and Product teams to ensure Rumpl shows up consistently and compellingly at retaildriving sell-through, strengthening partnerships, and expanding our footprint the right way.

What Youll Do

Build & Lead the Sales Function

  • Build, mentor, and lead a lean, high-performing sales team across internal reps and external agency partners
  • Establish clear goals, accountability, and performance expectations across territories and accounts
  • Foster a collaborative, motivated sales culture rooted in partnership, ownership, and results

Drive Distribution & New Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and onboard new retail partners that align with Rumpls brand and growth goals
  • Expand distribution within existing accounts through thoughtful assortment, placement, and storytelling
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate new channels, markets, and strategic opportunities

Own Key Account Relationships

  • Build and maintain direct relationships with Rumpls most important wholesale partners
  • Lead negotiations, line reviews, and joint business planning with key accounts
  • Act as a senior brand ambassadorensuring Rumpl shows up with consistency and impact

Forecasting, Planning & Performance Management

  • Own wholesale forecasting and contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
  • Set territory and account-level targets informed by data, market insight, and brand strategy
  • Monitor performance weekly and monthly, proactively addressing risks and opportunities

Execute at Retail

  • Oversee in-store merchandising strategy in partnership with Marketing and Sales Agencies
  • Ensure brand presentation, product storytelling, and sell-through strategies are dialed
  • Travel regularly to accounts, territories, and key trade shows to stay close to the market

Partner Cross-Functionally

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product on go-to-market plans, tools, and retailer support
  • Work with Operations and Finance to align inventory, forecasting, and growth plans
  • Share market insights and feedback to inform product development and long-term strategy

What Youll Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience, ideally in outdoor, lifestyle, or consumer goods
  • Proven success leading wholesale growth, distribution expansion, and new business development
  • Experience managing both internal sales teams and external sales agencies with a team first mindset
  • Strong key account relationships and leadership skills with a track record of building long-term partnerships
  • Analytical mindset with comfort in forecasting, reporting, and performance management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skillsyou can sell a vision, not just a line
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment and leading through change
